    Overview

Deadliest Warrior: Legends is a 3D historical-fantasy weapon-based fighting game developed by Pipeworks and published digitally by 345 Games for the Xbox 360 on July 6, 2011 and for the PlayStation 3 on July 26, 2011.

The sequel to Deadliest Warrior: The Game, Legends is also based on the Spike TV show Deadliest Warrior (where information on historical or modern weaponry are used to determine which of two warriors is the "deadliest"). It adds new gameplay mechanics (such as limb damage and ring outs) and a new Risk-style game mode, while switching the original game's generic fighters (such as ninjas and pirates) for warriors based on actual historical figures (such as Genghis Khan and Vlad the Impaler).

Players who own Deadliest Warrior: The Game have bonus weaponry and armor for all fighters. In addition, a special compilation disc (titled Deadliest Warrior: Ancient Combat) was released on April 17, 2012 that features both games (along with new weapons, arenas, and gameplay modes) and unreleased episodes from the show.

    Characters

Similar to the previous game, players choose an arsenal of weapons and armor for their chosen warrior. Although special weapons were removed, the game added new unlockable "joke weapons" (such as a fishing rod).
