Oh man.. I never thought I would have this feeling again. When P4 ended it left a hole, DP filled it, and made another hole. I totally love these extravagent ERs and I they will always be Giant Bombs biggest achievements in my eyes.
 
What did you guys think about the VJ ER overall? What did you love, what did you hate? Did ANYONE see the York/Zach thing coming?

it was fun, still have BR for a few more eps, and then we have the E3 crazyness anyway, so its cool they are over

I'm sad, but i'm sure they will do another ER later down the road... once they recover.. of course.

It was pretty great overall, I just wish there was a "Vinny casting Bufu" moment to take away from it.
 
I didn't see any of that ending coming, I'm guessing because I tend to not analyze any plot when playing a game and just let it wash over me as I go through it.

What was in that door in the special room?

I was lucky enough to be able to watch it from start to end and I even had a routine. I wake up in the morning, get my cup of coffee and the very first thing I do is load up the latest endurance run and watch them both. 
 
Now I won't know what to do in the morning.

I think I really enjoyed like a half of it. Next time I think that they should choose a better game. P4 was fantastic.

So they finished it? I started watching the ER's but I just couldn't keep up and before I knew it I was like 10 episodes behind. I love the concept of the endurance run, and it's one of the things that makes Giant Bomb stand out from every other gaming site out there, but unfortunately I don't have time to keep up with them.  

I really wanna try this game out for myself, I hope its get a PAL release sometime soon. Just from watching the ERs, it's got an amazing charm to it that makes it infinitely more interesting than a lot of these types of games. The characters, the soundtrack, the voice acting.....they're all pretty awesome in their own way.

Getting up and watching the latest episodes of the endurance run is very often the highlight of my day, and I love it. What do I do now? I can't wait a few months, if another ER even pops up at all!
 
Need more, pronto. Don't make me go back to LPs. None of those folks are near as charismatic as team GB, especially "I'm an adorable 5 year old trapped in a man's body" Vinny.

The schizophrenia-that-wants-to-be-dissociative-identity-disorder twist was obvious to me from the first episode, perhaps because I've studied abnormal psychology in college.  It's a hollywood disorder, though.  People with dissociative identity disorder are unable to communicate with their alternate personalities, so schizophrenia is more likely (hearing a voice with its own personality), but not one that can 'take over and drive' like York.  Either way, I was entertained.  I like to see a solid damaged protagonist once in a while, and you can't go wrong with a rape and murder to mix things up in the end game.  I wish they'd gone into the Emily-seeing-zombies thing more even if they chose not to explain it but meh.

Most disappointed that VJ didn't encounter the demon dogs. That could have made for a memorable moment. Also it felt to me like they didn't care for the game much, which kind of affected things a bit. Some memorable moments for sure though, their reaction to Thomas getting the hook to the face was perfect.

I think the biggest issue with Deadly Premonition was the fact that it was a game. The story stuff was interesting, but this ER would have been far better if the game was actually any good.  Luckily Jeff and Vinny's commentary is always excellent.

The ER this time around made me remember all the good times from Persona 4, maybe I should watch it again, it's only 100 hours.... -.-' / :D

Does anyone plan to create a 'Best Of the Deadly Premonition ER' video, a highlights reel? The P4 videos are great.

Finally. I find ER to be quite an endurance test on myself, but I can't stop watching them. Paradox!

 It's certainly not as good as the p4 ER, even if that was pretty unbearable at times too. It was still pretty entertaining and I'd watch another ER, maybe rewatch some moments of this one here and there.
