I've watched the pilot and the following episode, I have yet to go back though. This isn't because I didn't like it, I just haven't found the time.
Deadly Premonition
Game » consists of 11 releases. Released Feb 23, 2010
An open-world action-adventure game following an eccentric FBI agent as he investigates a series of bizarre murders in the small rural town of Greenvale.
Who here has started to watch Twin Peaks?
"I watched the series again for the first time in years and was shocked to see agent Mulder in drag... I didn't know who David was back then lol. York is a funny agent, but I think I will always like Cooper more. The series is fantastic the only problem I have with it is that the last episode is a huge cliff hanger and they canceled the show after it so we will never know what was supposed to happen. The guy that plays Dale still looks the same, I say they need to start up the show again Lol. To bad that Ernest guy died... "
That is my biggest complaint with the show. I want to know what happens! Speaking of this, I am watching the last episode on TV right this second. Maybe another movie or something to rap everything up? Or a 3rd season would be cool.

This show was airing when I was in Diapers. I think they would have to re-cast everyone if they continued the story line. They could probably get Dale back because he hasn't aged to much amazingly.
A show called "happy town" that is about to air on ABC looks promising. It is about a murder in a secluded beautiful town probably in the mountains. I'm hoping it is similar.

I watch all of season one and up and till the killer the was reveal in season two but then it lost my interest but it still was a damn fine show.
Yup, downloaded and watched solely because of the Endurance Run. Hadn't even heard of it before. The discontinuation of the series is a huge bummer, as it reflects storywise. The final episode's cliffhanger is so lame it's easy to get over the fact there's no season 3, though.
@kylekrueger: that's actually an excellent place to stop watching.
I had downloaded TP some time ago, watched about half of the pilot and deleted the entire thing. I cannot stand bad 90s synthesizer-based soundtracks. I might give it another go, as DP certainly has heightened my interest in the show. But man... bad soundtrack is bad.
I'm gonna. The shit thing is that it's not available to stream on Netflix, which is a bummer - I have too many other movies of higher priority to watch at the mo.
When...
...yeah.
I just picked up the Gold Collection from Amazon for 40-something bucks. Great deal.
I'm gonna start a-watching soon.
'Cause ya know, these hotels and motels - they say they'll give you a good deal - but when you get there it's a totally different story. That's something York would totally say.
I see a few people hoping for a third season, but I don't think that would be a good idea. I think that a reboot is in order here with complete recasts. David Lynch's involvement is a must, as well.
Kyle Maclachlan has talked about bringing the show back as webisodes, sans David Lynch. Color me interested.

The best line from the whole article, "But the star admits the show's creator, David Lynch, won't be involved with the new version as he is too busy focusing on his initiatives to publicise meditation techniques."
Just saw the ending.... and
I must admit, the DP ERs have made me rewatch Twin Peaks. Great, great show, especially at the beginning.
I have because of the Endurance Run on NBC's website since they're streaming it for free. I'm about halfway through the first season, and I'm enjoying it so far even if the budget hasn't held up spectacularly.
Watched the first two, don't really like it yet, but I'll give it a chance and watch some more in the coming days.
Honestly, I never heard of Twin Peaks until I started watching the Endurance Run. But now that I've been watching the ER for 3 weeks, and went out of my way to buy myself a copy of Deadly Premonition, I'm intrigued and want to check it out. Besides, my coffee told me to.
Started watching it a couple days ago because of the ER and the upcoming Alane Wake title. The 'special agent' even talks to an unseen comrade over his tape recorder...obviously the creators of DP watched a lot of Twin Peaks.
I've noticed there is a lot of awkward dialog, lingering shots, and inappropriate use of humor and music in the show. This makes me think that some of the jank in DP is at least somewhat intentional, including the really creepy smile. Seems to fit the Lynch-ian vibe.
I'm thinking about it... Okay, I'll add it to my Netflix queue. Too bad it isn't available for streaming though.

Because I didn't notice said awkward dialogue or inappropriate use of music in the show when I watched it last year.
No it's still up: http://www.cbs.com/video/includes/video/list.php?showname=classics/twin_peaks&showtype=classics&category=episodes&season=2" Oh snap, CBS used to have the whole thing up for streaming on their site, but it looks like they took it down. Lame.

I was wondering why so many other people were claiming that all of the episodes were up there, especially since I could only see three or four.
Yep, started watching it. I'm going to try to get through the whole show before Alan Wake comes out.
Good to see that it's still up on CBS. You still have to watch the pilot on youtube.
Just a heads up to those who want to watch the series, so you don't get turned away too soon: The show takes a bit of a dive starting around season 2, episode 10 onwards, up until the last 3 or 4 episodes. It basically veers off into filler hell, and although there are a few bits of interesting plot buried in there, the majority of it is absolute junk compared to the rest of the show. Thankfully the series manages to end on a high note, imo, and the final episode is an absolute must-see.

" @kevinski: Haven't seen it yet, unfortunately. I think it's probably buried in my netflix queue somewhere around the #200 mark, heh. I have heard that it's very weird though. "That reminds me: I'll hafta add it to my queue. I'm thinking that I'll remove the other discs from my queue, since I've seen the pilot and am in the process of watching the rest on CBS' Web site. I was gonna buy the DVD set that includes all of the episodes, but a lot of people complain about it missing a lot of scenes. I could get the two separate box sets that apparently don't have that issue, but then I wouldn't have the pilot. I don't understand that. Why wouldn't they have released the damn pilot in the season one set? A lot happens in the pilot.
Know it's all on netflix so hoping that sometime soon Brad, Vinny & anyone else who wants to see it at Giant Bomb just sit down to watch it. Hard to find someone yet who hasn't liked the series once they dipped into it. I know I'll probably get my dvds off the shelf to watch this series in the next few days while waiting for more star trek from netflix.
