    Duped

I'm a lover of the shooter genre and have been a big old-school player, combing through years of insane romps through bullet ridden levels. Throw in a dash of Japanese styled mayhem and I'm all over it. This release, which I had no idea was coming sparked my interest immediately. So much to the point that I didn't care about reading any reviews before picking it up. Problem is 30 minutes later I had already made my way through all the levels and unlocked over 200 achievement points, with only a handful of deaths. Now yes, I could then go back and become the master of the game, unlock all achievements, and play every game mode.... but why? The art is great, yes, but why do they repeat the same 5-7 enemies? The bosses are easy, despite the insane last boss, and I see very little reason to come back and play this again. Thankfully the same evening I was able to return it for a refund as the store owner couldn't believe I beat it that fast. Ultimately, this is a crazy good game, but the value of it is next to the same as an iphone game. Now I see why it's a limited edition bundle because without all that extra stuff, this is a total rip off. You will feel the same, trust me. It's not worth $50 and you will feel duped. Next time they should think about selling this as a downloadable title.

If one were to judge solely on playtime, they’d see a game that lasts 20 minutes. Calling that a pittance isn’t an exaggeration; it’s fact. In most shoot ‘em ups, the underlying value comes from challenge and replayability, ...

Death Smiled apparently and So Did I 0

I have spent nearly a week dabbling around on this game and have to admit that it possesses some non-simple, unidentifiable element of fun within its nest of flying cow heads, skull orb collecting, pink bullets that may or may not hurt you and flying, just recently post-pubescent angel schoolgirls.  Admittedly I am a sucker for cheesy, niche titles such as these.  I am not really sure why.  They have just always scratched some unforeseen itch that I acquire from time to time.  However, I have ne...
