Decapitation

Overview

Decapitation in games is usually intentional, and done to a person (again, usually) hostile to the player. This can often lead to the game which has this feature getting a 16 or 18 or Mature rating by the classification board associated with that region. Decapitation is sometimes scripted or part of the gameplay, some games with exaggerated gore allow to rip heads with a shotgun or a sniper rifle, there is even games like Blood that allow people to play with enemy heads, but sometimes swords, axes and disk launchers allow to do so when aimed at the head.
