PC or 360?
I'm getting the 360 version, due to the simple fact that if I am gonna spend 50-60 dollars on a game, I want to be able to play it without worrying if my PC will run it.
Besides, I prefer playing shooters on the Xbox. I hate trying to scramble to find a key when an enemy is giving me a case of terminal lead poisoning.

I've played Spore, Blood Bowl, Star Trek Online, Champions Online, Dark Spore, Magicka, EVE, bit.triprunner, Braid, Magicka, Portal, & Kotor. Nothing heavy duty, but I think it can play it. NWN 1 & 2. I'd just hate to buy a new PC game off Steam & find out that it doesn't work.@Lind_L_Taylor: Your graphics card is quite important to know, but yes, you should be fine if its on par with your other stuff.
PC version is superior - looks much better, mouse and controller, cheaper, HD. No real choice to make.
I tried the leaked beta and have a modest rig and it ran at 60FPS maxed out at 1920x1080 no problems - no DX11 stuff of course.
Also, the Ars Technica preview of the PC version pretty much emphatically stated that the PC was the best platform to get it on due to the improvements they made to the UI and such.
Getting so tired of this "hunched over a monitor" schtick. First off my deluxe office chair is comfier than my couch. Secondly my monitor is 30" and due to how close I sit to it that makes the image about twice as large as my 44" HDTV.If you don't have a proper setup to play PC comfortably, doesn't matter how good your PC is. I prefer sitting back on a couch, with a controller, on my HDTV, than hunched over 5 inches away from a monitor.
I hook up my PC to the TV every now and again and plugin my controller, but I know thats not the option for everyone.
The SKIDROW version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution runs great on older hardware (dual core processor, 8800gt, 2gig ram), my dads PC gets over 30fps at 1080p with default graphics settings. Plugging a 360 controller in makes me realise how awful the 360 version is though. The shooting feels a little loose and twitchy so a controller feels less accurate and more cumbersome than say, halo.

Me? I'm yet to feel uncomfortable sitting on my ''Premjer'' 210$ office chair and enjoy every little detail the game has to offer.

Reread the first sentence. "If you don't have a proper setup to play PC comfortably..."
Not everyone has a giant monitor or extremely comfy office chair. Chances are the majority of people have a couch and HDTV and not the best monitor/office chair, so console gaming for them it is.
That's a choice they made though, it's not the natural order of things. Maybe your "if" makes your statement okay, I can grant you that, but most of the time I see these "dood I'm gonna be on my couch with my huge TV yo while you're hunched over a keyboard" comments they act like these are the obvious realities. It's frustrating.@StingingVelvet said:

You can always just hook up your PC to that HDTV in front of the couch.@StingingVelvet said:

I use my PC with my TV exclusively. What's your point?
I played an hour or so of the leaked preview, and I used a gamepad. The game is gorgeous, plays well, and I got to use my controller method of choice. Personal preference (and giant TV) dictates the 360 version for me. All things being equal, it really comes down to whether you prefer a gamepad or KB+M.
PC cheaper price and better graphics its a win,win although I still have doubts about this game in general hope it is great.
360, I think. I don't have a fancy PC as of late, so I've decided just to stick to console games. I might be spontaneous and buy the PS3 version. But I'm assuming they're both the same.

I wonder if a wired 360 controller works with the PC version.
Yes it does. The demo switched on the fly (including some major UI cues) from controller to mouse controls based on what last received input. Frankly though, I felt the mouse and keyboard controls worked better than the gamepad controls, even with the snap to cover system in place. Compared to Mass Effect 2, which had poor mouse and keyboard controls and UI and no controller option or Alpha Protocol which is basically unplayable without the gamepad, this is a real delight.
@Edwardryu: Console is Garbage. I guess you are right since PC gaming is outselling console games 100 to 1.

Warhammer 40k sale so I had to buy the 2 expansions I didn't have, which
cost me $25. Then I noticed Xbox 360's Lost Planet 2 was $13.50 on Amazon,
bought the first one as well for $8. So just spent $45 on games I'm not sure
when I'll have time to play & then going to buy Deus Ex.
Overall, Steam really seems to be kicking the Console's ass, at least for
me. It seems to be getting offered every game that comes out for the
Consoles & it works with Console 360 controllers. Finding myself sort of
moving away from the Console, at least on the weekends. Steam is
really impressing me lately with the quantity & quality of games plus
lower prices. Backlog gets big, but its all drive space rather than
shelf (yet another plus). Perhaps when the next Big Push comes from
the Console makers, I may just switch back to the PC for good.
The number of white names in this thread are telling of the general distribution of people who are interested in this game. I say wait for reviews to determine whether the port is good before you worry about specs. The games you listed, however, are all pretty forgiving to a graphics card. I'm going to guess based on very limited evidence that your configuration will probably play the game at a level roughly comparable to the console.
So my choice is between using it on the PC for the graphics and nostalgia at the expense of forcing my wife to watch TV while I play and using headphones versus having it on the xbox and my of-late more familiar controller with a nicer stereo and where my wife can watch me play or play on the pc. Damn- hard choice.
Well, I have a 6 year old machine and I can run it (poorly, but it works) so yeah, if you have pretty much any gaming rig from maybe 2008 and onward, I'd say you can run it pretty good.

I was comfortably above 2.0 in Black Ops when playing it some time ago. And that's lying on the bed.@StingingVelvet said:

Played BFBC2 for a few months too and was sporting a 1.7+ there
So no it's not bound to suck.
PS: some people also actually play better when relaxed rather then tensed up.
For example if I take a large glass of beer before playing AC:B multiplayer I actualy tend to do better on average :P
I guess you're right: You can definitely get large KD ratios relaxed when playing BFBC2: just jump in a helicopter and spam. I don't remember that kind of abuse in BFBC1.@GuyIncognito said:

Except I don't whore the K/D and go for the objectives all the time.
277 air kills out of 18,484 here. (just checked my stats page, man it's been a while)
I'm just saying that not all people play like that, or need to.
My brother plays just like you he needs/wants to be face as close to the monitor as possible all concentrated.
