It seems that when he uses devil trigger mode, his hair turns white. So there you go the complainers got their wish.

White or black, that haircut looks stupid no matter what color. I'm not a DMC fan, but that hair...

I thought the complaints consisted more over the new punk angsty look, instead of over the hair color.

Fucking embarrassing- the trailer for the Captain America movie did a much better job

That was a terrible trailer but it looks like some DMC to me.

The lack of white hair was the least of the problems with that game, er, trailer(s) for that game.

I think the only people who could make a truly great Devil May Cry game is Platinum, and they already made Bayonetta. DMC4 proved that Capcom shouldn't be trusted with making one, so they farmed it out to Ninja Theory. 
 
I'm actually all kinds of ok with that. Its not going to be a particularly great DMC game, but I'm stoked to see how good of a Ninja Theory game it will be. I loved Enslaved. I'm also physically incapable of caring less about the redesign, how much he looks like old Dante has zero bearing on the game unless you're a child who can't comprehend how and why things change.

The gameplay looks like devil may cry. Thats all I could ever ask for with Ninja Theory. 
 
Kind of dissapointed with the direction they're taking with the story. The whole punk, lets fight "the man" bullshit is played out IMO and Marc Ecko's Getting Up did it better from the looks of things

I find it funny that people complain more about the few people that still complain about the hair than people actually complain about the hair.
 
Anyways, the game play looked... ok I guess.  Can't really tell from that video.  I still have hope they will pull through and make the first game I like from them being as DMC is one of my favorite franchises.

I have no real guilt whatsoever (although I probably should, but I'm an only child). In fact, I like living in a first world country and the opportunities it affords me. I don't like Dante's new look. I think it's not a good choice to change the design of a character we've all known and grown up to love for years.

What I wish for is another proper DMC, not this janky looking pile of mediocrity.
Not that it would matter anyway, all DMCs pale in comparison to Bayonetta IMO, so I'd rather have a sequel to that instead or at least something with the same combat system.

None says the first design was good or less "emo" than the new one, but goddamn i'm used to old shitty Dante and there is no freaking reason to change it. The new one isn't an improvement it's a palette swap without reason and I really just want them to leave his emo-ass style alone.

If anything, the new feature denotes a severe lack of determination and confidence from the developer. Either go all the way and try to do your own thing, or give in to the fastidious fan-base completely. Otherwise your piecemeal offers will reek of indecisiveness and you'll come off as weak-willed and/or unsympathetic.

What always gets me is when the new DMC character is called 'emo', as if the old one was...any different.

I couldn't care less for the hair, what I do care about is how this is a devil may cry game, a game series built on fast paced excitement, and the trailer they showed off at E3 was slow boring and actually made me less interested in the game than I already was.
