Dragon Age Endurance Run?

Correction. This is the new shit would let that happen." @Blair said:

they shouldn't do a brand new gameThis. Persona 4 was a year old(?) US wise, so it was safe to say that at this point - it's fair game to start it. That being said, as I have a lot of confidence in the developing story put into DA:O along with all the articles and positive feedback that has been coming off the game from just about every corner of reviewer around -- this will be a very good game, story-wise, to follow -- so I'd approve of it as an ER... in maybe +8 months (especially in summer when everything is slow, gaming wise). The toughest thing will be deciding which Origin to start as first and what kind of general moral run they'd make. Maybe they could put that beginning part to vote?
" They should fucking do the Witcher.that's a nice idea...
"
And they wouldn't do the dragon age origins, as it is a very well known title.
It wouldn't be fun as many people will play it faster than they would see it in the ER.
Ninja Gaiden would also be awesome... but probably too dificult.
"Not feelin' it. It's just not absurd enough. "
Yep, I'm excited about this game, but an E.R. game should be somewhat absurd, lesser known, and something that most people aren't immideately attracted to. With all the marketing behind it (and the fact that BioWare and EA are involved) it's just a little too mainstream.
that's a nice idea...The grinding and walking through the swamp would be extremely boring to watch, not to mention that you visit the exact same swamp three times during the game. Also, the detective subplot is long-winded as hell, as is the beginning in the Outskirts.

They aren't going to be doing another Endurance Run for a while, so it probably won't be any upcoming game.
Meh, DA:O is, like others have said, just too mainstream. It would be far more interesting to see a Baldur's Gate II
@wh1terav3n: I would kill my self if i had to endure Baldur's Gate II, good game but i would not watch anybody play it.
" @Jeust said:I agree... but Persona 4 had also a lot of grinding and walking around. " @eroticfishcake said:Hmm, I think the exact opposite. I'd much prefer a well known, mainstream game. Take the Quick Looks, why bother with the ridiculous shit like 30 second whatever and the high school bozo game that people (read: I) don't care about?"Not feelin' it. It's just not absurd enough. A few people have hit the nail on the head here... the ER isn't just about playing a long game, it's about making funny of the stupid shit that happens. The commentary on a game like Dragon Age, Ninja Gaiden, The Witcher etc would be really hard to have the same flavour as the Persona 4 one did.
It has to be something that the people playing it arn't going to refuse to continue. So, no Vampire Rain.
As Persona 4 showed an Endurance Run game has to have that magical mix of random craziness, engaging story, and entertaining gameplay that makes it both fun for them to play and us to watch them play.
Advertising aside, a sizable contingent of viewers will never buy the game because of the run (that's lost revenue).
These companies want to limit footage of their game on the internet.
See the Quick Look of GTA IV: Lost and the Damned that got pulled from the website.
Personally I would never not buy a game just because I can watch the whole thing on the interwebz.
Those posters are not legitimate websites, they are breaking copyright laws.
Furthermore, none of those FAQs come from sites financed by advertising revenue.
Lastly, Bioware doesn't care about your consumption tendencies... they are worried about the collective.
If even one person is dissuaded from purchasing a copy, they've lost revenue, and that's not acceptable.
EA isn't cool enough to hold Atlus's Jockstrap, so they would never allow an Endurance Run of Dragon Age.
Besides, Dragon Age is a serious game, therefore does not lend itself to humorous commentary very well. A few other folks have pointed out that the Persona 4 Endurance Run was so successful because the game had quirky yet lovable characters , crazy scenarios, great story, awesome game-play, and it was "milk shooting out your nose hysterically funny" to boot. It was the perfect game for the Endurance Run and I doubt there will ever be another like it, unless of course Atlus develops and releases Persona 5. Even if they do come out with P5, it's going to be years away, sadly.
Honestly, I don't think they should do another endurance run...at least not for a long while. In addition to the game and its lovable characters, crazy scenarios, etc, the reason we really liked the endurance run is that it is THE endurance run. I don't want them to do another ER and then have forum posters debate which one was better, blah, blah, blah. I think it would lose a little bit of that magic.
When that break's over, I think they should focus on a multiplayer game of some sort. Or something completely obscure and probably Japanese (we all know Japanese developers make the most crazy-awesome of shit). I loved their Borderlands QL, maybe they should continue that into some sort of ER?
Also, I'm not a fan of Pokemon, but I'd love to see an ER on Pokemon. It's a linear RPG, similar to P4, and it has all the zaniness of any other JRPG. I mean, these parents let their friggin 11 year old children run into the wild to catch feral animals to have them fight each other. There's some quality comedy content in there somewhere...
" As Persona 4 showed an Endurance Run game has to have that magical mix of random craziness, engaging story, and entertaining gameplay that makes it both fun for them to play and us to watch them play. "i think picking persona 4 as the first game to ER was both a good choice and a bad one...since it was a great game to introduce the idea of ER, it's also set it's own little standard for what future ER's should be ( it should last atleast 10 hours, has to be fun for the people playing and the people watching, has to be something that not everyone's going to already be playing/has played etc..)
also, just cause Persona 4 is an RPG doesn't mean the next game they do has to be an RPG. Persona 4 worked cause the game's a mix of social sim with Dungeon Crawler, thus we didn't see them fighting battles every 3 episodes (if the ER is gonna work the way it has aKa 'no skipping through parts' then imagine if they played an FF game for example...every 5 minutes of footage would be them in a fight, and it'd get boring fast).
I think they either A. know what they're gonna ER next or B. are still looking for something that meets their criteria.
Persona 4 was not an older game, it came out only a couple of months before the Endurance Run. It was, of course, on a much older system.
I think an Endurance Run for Dragon Age is a good idea. P4 was necessarily spoiled because it is a fairly linear game (the multiple endings are sequential, not alternative). Bioware claims that Dragon Age will have multiple endings and branching story lines so there will be a much lower risk of spoilers.
That said, I have my doubts that EA would let them do it.
