E3 2011: Dragon's Dogma Trailer
aka Monster Hunter: This Time Not an Abortion.
Monster Hunter: Western Sensibilities Edition.
For some reason, I really like everything I've seen of this game. I feel like we've been seeing a lot of present/future games the past year or so. It's been a long time since I played a proper medieval game.
The bond with the dragon kind of reminds me of Cavia's Drakengard, but nobody's got a patent on dragon-riding. I'm really pumped about this Western-styled action RPG, I gotta say. Maybe it'll fill the hole left by my heart, which Robot Chicken-necked Oblivion so cruelly tore from my breast.
In medieval Germany, dragons were thought to be evil beasts that served satan.
Dragons aren't supposed to be evil demon beasts of satan, they're supposed to be large flying lizards, with maybe some wisdom sprinkled on.
From wikipedia on satan
Has anyone mentioned how stupid Dragon's DOGMA sounds yet?
I think they thought they were being clever with the DD name. They probably wanted something that reduced down to D&D. Give the monster in the game they could have called it Chimera Credo or Manticores Method, but C&C and M&M doesn't speak to the concept of rpgs as well.
