Looks like the end is nigh. DNF has a date, and it's less than half a year away. And it comes out on my birthday, no less!
So, are we looking at Snakes on a Plane, or a genuine great game?
Duke Nukem Forever
Game » consists of 14 releases. Released Jun 14, 2011
After approximately fourteen years of development, the heavily infamous sequel to Duke Nukem 3D was finally released, in which the macho Duke must damper yet another alien invasion.
Duke Nukem Forever Dated for May 3rd
Whether it'll be good or bad I don't know but as long as it comes out then yes. Good. Great. It's out. Finally we can lay it to rest.
Why am I suddenly excited, even though I don't really care?
Also, I think you mean, are we looking at a Blue Shift or a Borderlands? :P
So soon? I think I need another 10 years to prepare myself for the fact that this is actually happening... ^^
We waited almost fifteen frickin' years for this! In 1996 I was nineteen years old. DN3D was sheer magic to me back then. But now I'm age 34 and... I'm just not that stoked anymore. I'll await the reviews and watch some playthrough footage on YouTube first before I even consider the purchase.
" And I won't be getting it, because I have no desire to play an old, dated game. "Because you clearly can pass judgment on something that you haven't touched or even played, yet.
It's good to see Duke back after this long hiatus and I am pretty confidant that the game is being finalized by good hands.

I'll be ready to kick ass and chew bubblegum, even though there's the possibility that the supply of gum may by running out.
Even though I've never finished Duke Nukem 3D, I for some reason feel like I have to pick this up.
I don't care if the game is bad, I just want to own it. And if there's a Collectors Edition, I don't even care how much it costs, I have to buy it...
It would be hilarious if the game was amazing and recieved praise from everyone and we started seeing new Duke Nukem games every year, then maybe there would finally be a Duke Nukem kart racer.
Best part of this is the fact that Gearbox can now get to work on Borderlands 2! (I do want to play duke, but my hopes are set low.)

I went to Pax :D
I really didn't, but you wouldn't know that if it wasn't for the fact that I'm making the point that you have no credibility whatsoever.
Let's say you did go to Pax though, how long ago was that and how long have they had since then to polish the game and make it even better?
Yeah..
That said, I'm pretty excited about this game. I'm not flipping shit over it, but I'll probably pick it up.
