So yeah - 16 hour time difference means E3 is kicking off at 3am here in Japan. With lessons tomorrow morning, there's no way I can stay up for that so looks like I'll be catching an archived version when I wake up. I'll likely be 6 hours behind everyone else in terms of news but it's the only option I have.

Anyone else in a similar boat?

There's nothing that can be done, so there isn't any need for a complaint thread.

i don't have work or school so i'll be able to watch them. in the past i couldn't watch E3 because of work. work blocked the video game sites. you are not a lone on this. 
 
you can always wake up at 3am to watch it. i'm just saying that.

luckily i am on medical leave, well.. lucky for not having to work for awhile and not so much for my health.

I'm only two hours ahead, but because of my gym time and evening class schedule I'll be missing the Ubisoft and Sony press conferences. I really wanted to see the Sony handheld right away :(

Well back then when I was still in school, I didn't get to watch those press conferences so just do what I did, watch the archived version or listen/watch the GB's livestream.

Have lessons 9am the next morning, and if the MS conference is 2 hours long, that wouldn't leave me much time for sleep...

I'm tempted though, so very tempted.

You could fall asleep earlier and just wake up at 3.

Yeah I've never missed the conferences once for e3 since 2006, but this year i'll have to skip them :(

Because knowing all about the NGP at 4 in the morning is REEAALLLYY important. I'm at work during all the conferences, but with the archives out there and GB livestreaming podcasts later that night (hopefully) It's not like I really have any reason to complain.

I work from home, so thankfully I can just dedicate one of my monitors for the e3 streams while I do work on the other.

I sympathise - most of my friends back home are having the last stretch of finals this week also. I was dumb enough to choose a 5 year language course though so have managed to delay that for at least another year.

This isn't worth complaining about. I live in the same timezone as E3 and can't watch it live because I'll be at work.

Sony one will be a bit too late for me I think.

Stop bitching. Some of us are on finals, and we're about to risk a year of our lives on a few days. That's something worth bitching about, especially in Europe since the Bologna Plan BS.

I will be staying up until 1:00am for the Sony conference. It's nice that E3 is during my holidays this year so I have no other obligations to attend to.

The only one that really bothers me is Sony, who've picked a time that's in the middle of the night for most of the world.

The rest of them seem reasonable.. They can't suit everyone, unfortunately.

I got caught out with this 3 years ago, since then ive always made sure to book the week of E3 off so i can stay up to stupid oclock, drink Sake and still recover in time for work the following week. That siad, if you have classes thats different, not much you can do other than catch up a few hours later, if its any consolation i do know exactly how you feel.

That sucks, I got lucky happened to have a day off today, so I'll probably set up a TV and computer somewhere in the house and leave the streams on all day, try to get some shit done. Might even try to clean.... nah.

I finished exams last month. I have no priorities which is nice.
 
My only complaint is that Ninty's conference can't come soon enough.

Agreed, its the one im most looking forward to this year, they have a lot of making up to do with the hardcore gamers but they still have to avoid loosing any of the new crowd they have.
