One of the most crazy, unique RPG's you'll ever play!

Earthbound surprised many people with its real-time setting back when it was released. Even today, when people want a break from all of the medieval-themed RPGs, Earthbound is a great breath of fresh air. Earthbound takes place in the 90's and stars a young boy named Ness who embarks on a quest to save the world. On his adventure, he makes new friends, battles with a variety of wacky enemies, and informative characters. New twists and turns are found around every corner just waiting to surprise you.

There are so many things that make Earthbound different from the several other RPGs out there. The most noticeable difference is the style. The art, character choices, and personalities that you find in Earthbound are a welcome change from what is usually found in most RPGs. Ness and his friends will battle zombies, crooked cops, gangsters, beach goers, hippies, and almost anything you can think of! Players will not be sent in to battle empty-handed as Ness and his crew are armed with baseball bats, yoyos, and psychic powers. There are so many different weapons, clothes/armor, and general items to be found, exploration is not only helpful but is a hell of a lot of fun.

The bottom line is if you are looking for a different approach to the classic RPG formula, don't you dare miss Earthbound. Everything that Earthbound offers feels fresh and new, with an odd, insane touch. Stop telling your friends about that little boy with the red cap from Super Smash Bros. and find out where Ness is really from. The game is awesome.

      Retro Review: Earthbound 0

Hippies? Check. Weapons and psychic powers with which to beat them? Double check. In the heyday of the Super Nintendo, there were many games that surfaced with the status of a “triple A” title. While there was still a lot of shovel-ware on Nintendo’s second try at a true system it was not to the extent that we have now with the Wii and had with the Gamecube. This also meant, with so many great g...
