Yes, it's strange. Play it.
I love the music of Frederic Chopin. He is my favorite composer of piano music, no contest. But when I saw that there was a game where he was a playable character? Well, I thought that was strange. But whatever - I've played so many strange games over the years that playing a game set in the fever dreams of 19th century composer hardly phases me. And this game? I love it. It's not the best RPG ever, but it just has so much charm! The game looks great, with hand drawn backdrops in every scene. The characters are, with the exception of Chopin, somewhat forgettable. A few are unfortunate rpg stock characters (yes, there is a scrappy orphan) but don't let that stop you! The battle system is a combo of turn based and action. It's not deep, but it gets the job done. The story is bizarre, and I will not spoil it. In between chapters there are great interludes with chopin's music and narration of his life story. Again, odd. But overall this game is completely charming! I highly recommend it.
