Well, considering that you are trying to play multi-player in a game that has a sequel, the people still playing will be overtly good to the point that you can't compete with. The same can be said for a game like halo 2. You have to also take into consideration that at the time, like others have said, the game was influential. Yeah, so I received my exam results a couple of days ago and they are awesome.
I got 4As (Maths, Computing, Chemistry and Physics) and a B in English (as you may have noticed is not particularly my strong suit).
So that pretty much allows me to apply to any course in University and follow my dream of game development.
I personally contacted Realtime Worlds a couple of months ago and they were very supportive. They stated that if I get a degree in some form of computing field then they will always be interested in recruiting some homebred talent.
Maybe in the future I will be able to help shape the gaming industry. Only time will tell I guess...
