I played EVE for about 30 min and decided I just couldn't take any more, but I remain fascinated every time I hear news or mainstream general gaming podcasts talk about the macro level events that happen within this universe.

Since I don't enjoy playing the game, but am interested in hearing cool stories and more insight as to how the different corps interact with and subvert each other, I'm wondering if any of you could recommend any podcasts out there that are devoted to EVE online and could give me the content I am looking for.

I've done the high level searches on iTunes and downloaded a couple episodes that I plan to listen to, but hoping some recommendations may help point my search in a direction that leads to quality content right away.

There aren't that many great EVE podcasts to be perfectly honest. It's hard for anyone directly involved in any conflict to report on it without it coming out like heavy-handed propaganda. There are quite a few good blogs, new sources, and subreddits to keep yourself abreast of happenings in EVE, though. I'd recommend themittani.com which reports on pretty much every major event in game. It's the highest quality news source about EVE right now. Commentary and focus on small gang warfare is covered quite nicely by Jester's Trek. The EVE and Dreddit subreddits will also cover pretty much anything that happens in EVE.

Fly reckless, Crossing Zebras, Declarations of War, Podside, Lost in Eve are a few podcasts out there

Closest thing I know is internet radio station EVE Radio has several talk based shows through the week. Even during my breaks I've listed to them to kinda keep up. Not always about game news but still a lot of EVE event stuff that goes on.
