    The extra life is a golden macho version of Banjo, collecting one will give you an extra life. And it makes a cameo in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts as a golden statue.

    Banjo Kazooie

    In Banjo-Kazooie Banjo and Kazooie may come across golden statues of Banjo, these statues call themselves extra lives. Once collected they will give you one more life, everytime you boot up the game you start witth three lives and can have a maximum of 9. There are useally two or three extra lives in each leval, and require a certain amount of skill to find and reach them.  
     
    This is the only game in the series where they actully do as the name implies, in Banjo-Tooie they are not even in it due to the fact Banjo-Tooie loses the lives feature and has infinite lifes. 
     

    Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts

     In the LOGBOX720 leval on Act 6, a Jinjo has lost his extra live and needs you to return it for him. Once brought back a yellow Jinjo token is given. The statue in there is much bigger, but has no base.
