Spiral Mountain is the serene mountain field that is also the place of residence of both Banjo and Kazooie in the Banjo-Kazooie series.
Spiral Mountain is typically described as a training level in both Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie, with all of the techniques learned in Banjo-Kazooie available to be learned in Banjo-Tooie at the start. Upon learning the techniques, Banjo and Kazooie can climb Spiral Mountain and begin their trek into Gruntilda's nearby Lair. However, in Banjo-Tooie, the quiet mountain field is destroyed by the Hag 1 drilling machine, revealing Spiral Mountain to be a part of a larger island call the Isle O' Hags.
In Banjo-Kazooie, the duo is taught basic abilities like attacking, jumping, and exploring by Bottles the short-sighted mole. In Banjo-Tooie, Bottles is killed off at the start of the game, and the duo learns from Bottles' spirit the techniques of Banjo-Kazooie.
In Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge, Spiral Mountain is generally a hub world.
In Banjo-Tooie, Spiral Mountain hides two secret items: the blue and pink "?" Eggs. These items were originally believed to be part of the Stop N' Swop secrets, but in Banjo-Tooie, these items can be used to unlock secrets in the game. The eggs are hidden in rather cowardly Banjo-Kazooie game cartridges.
In Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Spiral Mountain the same as before, except bigger and with more polygons. Banjo and Kazooie challenge Grunty to see who decides the fate of Spiral Mountain.
