I missed the boat on alot of great early 90's PC games like The fallout series, planecape: torment, system shock, and was wondering if anyone has heard of a rerelase of the classic?
Fallout 3
Game » consists of 45 releases. Released Oct 28, 2008
In Bethesda's first-person revival of the classic post-apocalyptic RPG series, the player is forced to leave Vault 101 and venture out into the irradiated wasteland of Washington D.C. to find his or her father.
Does anyone think that the original fallout will be put on XBLA?
"Wijeeba said:That wasnt really necessary, because I completely agree. The game would feel completely awkward on the 360 controller, and would be heavily criticized for it's graphics. It isnt going to happen."I don't think the point and click interface would really work on consoles... I don't think many xbox players would like a top-down, turn-based RPG anyway."nice stereotype i bet that made you feel great!!!"
"I don't think the point and click interface would really work on consoles... I don't think many xbox players would like a top-down, turn-based RPG anyway."I think they would. They already play JRPG's and stuff like Civ Rev. I just doubt that anyone's willing to invest the manpower to make a controller interface out of a 15 year old PC game. Perhaps if Fallout 3 sold gangbusters, they'd think it was worth it.
you can also play the first fallout and planescape torment on gametap. its only 99 cents for the first month of a gold membership better deal than you'd ever find on amazon/ebay
i really think it should get the bionic commando rearmed treatment and released on psn xbla and on pc
Nah its had its day, the turn based style combat/movement would not go over well today, personally I wouldnt be able to sit through it in its current state.
I've been playing it on my PC recently, as I've never played it before, and I love it. But then again I'm kind of a unique gamer. I don't think it would work all that well on the 360 though.

"Wijeeba said:He's got a point. A lot of kids these days probably wouldn't be able to get into those games. Heck even I couldn't when I tried recently and I enjoy most 8bit era games."I don't think the point and click interface would really work on consoles... im pretty sure bethsedea own the rights at the moment, but i could be wrong. interplay still has the rights for a fallout mmo i think
Yeah, the Fallout IP was sold to Bethesda Softworks, Interplay is a technically a Licensee of the Fallout IP for the Fallout MMO.
Fallout 1, Fallout 2, Fallout 3 and future Fallout games and extensions are all owned by Bethesda, how much was the Fallout IP? Just under 6 Million dollars, hell of a bargain really on Bethesda's part.
