    I only have the basic Fallout 3 for the PC with no DLC and I was wondering when I should stop before complete the main quest and do all the side missions and explorer the fantastic world Bethesda created. Iam getting all of the DLC in one bundle soon so I will eventually complete the game but when should i stop and explorer.

    Quicksave around the time you exit Vault 101, and then delete every subsequent autosave that occurs and hope to god you don't fuck something up.

    Yeah definitely stop before the last mission and explore. Then once you get Broken Steel you can finish it and still explore afterwards.
