The third installment in the series sees a reluctant victim battling nature, pirates, and the island's insanity-inducing jungle to rescue his friends and family from an island paradise gone horribly wrong.
What did you think of that Skrillex and Damian Marley dubstep song?
I don't know about you guys but I hated that song but love dubstep. Ok I don't love all dubstep but I have a fondness for bass heavy British dubstep like Skream, Benga, or Coki. I know why they chose that song because of Damian Marley's connection with weed but they could have chose a more crazy sounding song like Coki's "Revolution." That song is crazy, I mean real crazy. Take a listen...
See!!! fucking crazy that it fits imo the already crazy game. I think that the devs at Ubisoft missed a great oppertunity to show the world some great and crazy music.
whoops should not cook and type at the same time to damn slow.

I actually enjoy me some doofy Skrillex nonsense every now and then, but this track had such a reggae sound to it, which I don't care for, so it didn't do anything for me.
ironically, dubstep has roots in reggae (see what i did there?). it's north american producers like skrillex who've eschewed the original sound in favor of something more punchy and club-oriented.
When it started I was like "Oh this is that song everyone's so up in arms about OH WAIT IM HAVING TOO MUCH FUN SETTING DOGS AND PEOPLE ON FIRE FUCK THAT SONG" kinda.
Full of sounds Skrillex has used constantly, annoying commercial dubstep. I'm not trying to be some Hipster-Barista here, but man. Dubstep now.
Is the song actually good? Hell no. But it fits that part perfectly and I thought its use was really funny. I'm not entirely sure if it was intended to be comedic or not, but nevertheless, it was.
Never heard Skrillex before--I honestly thought it was some death metal band--but I didn't mind it. I was having way too much fun chucking Molotovs and grenades everywhere while lighting shit on fire.

That's a pretty narrow view.

Once you've heard one dubstep song, you've heard them all.
This is why I hate what Skrillex (technically his fans, but whatevs) has done to the dubstep name. This is so entirely untrue it's ridiculous. :( SADFACE I TELL YE.
You guys are probably right, but nothing would change how stupid I think dubstep is.

I totally agree with you @AlexW00d:.
I would hardly say it "fit well". If by "fit well" you mean shitty music started up while I'm trying to play like a popup ad.
That moment put words like desparate and pathethic into my head.
Similar to my reaction to that "amazing" character Voss. Oh, he's so cool.
I wouldn't call it shit, but it's definitely not something I'd listen to outside of this game. It fit the missions dumb insanity really well, and that's all it needed to do. Wasn't nearly as good at the Saints Row The Third "Power" moment. But nothing beats that.Song is shit, but fit the ridiculousness perfectly.
