Overview
Farengar Secret-Fire serves as Jarl Balgruuf the Greater's court wizard. Farengar Secret-Fire can usually be found in his study room in the fortress Dragonsreach in the Cloud District in the city of Whiterun. Farengar conducts studies concerning magic and dragons. Farengar has no real interest in the Civil War and spends most of his time on magical research. As such, he is dedicated to the College of Winterhold. His loyalties are tied to the college first.
Farengar concerning dragons
Before Farengar Secret-Fire meets the Dragonborn he always considered Dragons to be a myth. Farengar becomes so excited that he want see one in person, but the Jarl Balgruuf the Greater denies his request on the grounds that it is more important that Farengar come up with ways to defend against the dragons.
Notes
- Salt for Arcadia, Farengae asks you to deliver some Frost Salts to Arcadia at the alchemy shop Arcadia's Cauldron.
- He buys and sells Spell Tomes and Ingredients. All court-wizards of Skyrim sell Spell Tomes, otherwise this can only by looted or bought from people in Winterhold College.
