    An under-rated title (spoiler alert)

I have enjoyed all of the FEAR titles (the 1st one was ground breaking) and each had it's own creepy shivers.

From a story perspective FEAR 2 is wonderful.  The parallel experience is a nice way to continue the story after the original ending.

I think the ending is not clear.  I done not think it is clear, but I got the impression that Alma was trying to stop your mission to destroy her.  At the end however I don't think that Alma rapes Beckett, I think she is his mother and she kisses him and protects him from being harmed.   The pregnant image is to show you that you were her baby, as Alma can not become pregnant because SHE'S DEAD!!!

I certainly look forward to the story continuing...

From a game-play perspective I can only complain about one thing.  The sliding tackle has been removed and it was a very cool feature of the original FEAR game.  They kept all the other moves intact and I like the levels, but the levels do not seem to have the same level of grandeur of the first game.

Weapons are good and the exploding body parts have kept the "meatiness" of the original game, but I think the most amazing aspect of this game is the AI.  The way the enemies work together and make cover from various items is wonderful and an improvement on the first title.

One baddy I miss from the first game were the solid floating ghost people, which always freaked me out, way more than these white wispy ones in FEAR 2.

I think this game should get an "A", not an "A+", but it's solid and fun.  Game spot give it a 7.0 which is an unfair mark (IMHO), but I understand that when comparing FEAR 2 to a title like FALLOUT 3, which has such Vast landscapes and FarCry 2, which has such Vast Landscapes and GTA 4, which has such ....  you get the point...  it seems as if you have to have Vast Landscapes now to get a good mark from Gamespot...  or should that be called GameCOCK!!...

It's been a rocky road for the F.E.A.R. franchise over the last three years, squabbles over the game's ownership between Monolith and Vivendi made it seem that a true sequel with the F.E.A.R. name had become impossible. A few months ago however, both companies were able to bury the hatchet (under a bundle of money) so Monolith could present us with the continuation of the story that they began with the original F.E.A.R. First Encounter Assault Recon, forsaking all previous attempts by Time...

      F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin Review 0

F.E.A.R. 2 is a tricky game to wrap my head around. I would sometimes forget I was playing a horror game and become fully entangled in the shooter aspect of the game, feeling like I was apart of yet another Call of Duty themed roller-coaster ride when the action got tense. But then on other occasions, I’d be panting for breath and struggling to stay in my chair as hideous creatures jumped out at me from all directions from the comfort of the shadows. My flashlight could only light up so much of ...
