    FN3 was more visceral

It doesn't have the same feeling when you hit someone. There is basically very little graphical response on character getting hit and the sound is garbage. I feel like i'm just tapping my opponent. I won my first 10 matches without going past round 2. Using the RB for haymaker is LAME, i prefer the windup. This is a tippy tappy boxing game that is mediocre with no feeling of excitement. Unlike FN3 I have NEVER ONCE did an "OOOOHH, OW!". FN3 is just a better game and it's obvious FN4 was done by a completely different set of programmers that were so busy trying to get the "techinical" right, they left out the fun and excitement.

The calendar system is really kinda lame and just wastes time. What's the point of picking a fight a month after rest period if you still only train once.. Boxers don't age so again, no point in calendar. except wasting your time.

Graphics. Meh! They aren't bad but they also don't show you the impact of punches the way FN3 did. The characters don't react much AT ALL against the punches. There is no sense of pain.

Sound. tip tap tip tap... No sense of damaging blows and the new buzzer "beep" just sounds like it doesn't belong.

Controls. I was one of the people that liked the sticks in FN3 so I am not even going to complain about the lack of buttons. There is no sense of damage and has a deliberate pacing to force fights to go long.

FN4 feels more technical but less fun. The game is not challenging either.  I will finish Legacy one time and go back to FN3 where the fun is

      Unexpectedly Fun 0

The last Fight Night game, for me, was the real beginning of the next generation. And with the studio behind the epic last game no longer in business (gee, thanks Def Jam: Icon!), there was some concern that the fourth game would be less impressive.EA definitely turned it over to competent hands as this game is still an eminently playable boxing game. The single player storyline is fairly lengthy and, well, devoid of story as you are an anonymous boxer who is trying to punch his way from...
