Fire Trucks (AKA Fire Engines) are a crucial part of the Emergency Services. Their aim is to ferry firemen to and from fires, with a view to extinguish said fires. Additionally, they are often used in rescue operations which the fire service gets involved in. Typically colored red, though sometimes seen in white (Like in Aberdeen) or green (Military fire engines often use this color), fire engines are a symbol of urban life.
Fire engines feature hoses and ladders. Sometimes these ladders are merely stored in the engines and are erected against walls or free-standing, but in some fire engines, they are built onto the top of the vehicle and are powered - able to rotate and extend.
