A fork-lift is a Powered Industrial Lift Truck, (PILT for short)
There are many ranges of fork-lift trucks, they come with a variety of different engines, LPG, Deisel, Gasoline and also Electric powered.
Fork-lifts also come with a range of attachments such as a side shifter, a tilt function, and you can also change the masts, to go as high as 12 meters(Some models of Reach truck only) .
The range that Fork-lifts come in are as follows.
These are the most common type of Fork-lift truck,
Ride-on counterbalances have the mast and forks in the front, they can be powered by Gasoline, LPG, Electricity, but the larger versions are powered be diesel
The most common tonnage of ride on counterbalances are as follows,
1.75 - 3.5 Tonne
3.5 - 5.0 Tonne
7.0 - 8.0 Tonne
The bigger sizes,
12.0 - 15.0 Tonne
18.0 - 20.0 Tonne
These are used for heavy Industrial workloads, and aren't as common as their smaller counterparts.
