We've got to make some changes on API limits. Currently API requests are limited to 400 in a 15 minute period for all requests. We're going to have to add a special limit for API Search requests to 500 in a 24 hour period. Search requests are pretty heavy and take up resources. You really shouldn't be running a bunch of searches through the API. Some of you are running the dictionary though search and that is abusive. If I see that again your API key will be revoked. You can make API requests for the kinds of things you are looking for in better ways.
If you need to run more than 500 searches in a 24 hour period contact me and let me know what you're doing. I'm likely to show you how to do it without using search. If you have a perfectly valid reason we can adjust the limits for your particular API key.
