Account Cancellation?

Hello. I created a free account here a few weeks ago or so, and now I'd like to have it deleted. Is this possible? I tried following a link that is suppose to allow an account cancellation, however I was informed that my account was free, and so thats as far as I got with that. Anyway to have my free account removed??
