Asked to verify registration after login

I had to log in to the site again today, and shortly after that I got a "Confirm your Giant Bomb registration" email as if I had just registered a new account. Haven't dared click on the activation link yet.

I think it's a bug with the new site, right? You can just ignore it as far as I know.
