I bought the Mother's day sale yearly sub and activated it before my monthly sub expired, but my badge is still silver. On the account page it says "Premium Monthly (non-recurring) member till May 15, 2015".
Try logging out and back in - that sometimes helps with premium membership related issues.If that doesn't work, I'm sure @rorie will be able to help you out.
