Server error, and then my message is gone.

I've had this tab open for hours and hours, and I know that the message not going through really old tabs is a known issue, but is there any way a message could be saved when it runs into an error? Having four or five paragraphs vanish into the void whenever there's an error posting a message is a huge bummer.

I always copy messages to the clipboard before hitting submit, as far as I know it's the only way to save a post from this bug.

Man now I feel terrible I've never said anything. I've probably lost over 50 messages to this bug over the last year.

Usually I copy stuff to clipboard first, but I don't always remember to.

@slag: The problems with posting comments have been reported at least several times this year, though. I don't know if it was all the same bug or if these were related at all to what is currently happening, but I've consistently had difficulty getting my comments to stick. I just never said anything because there was always a recent bug reporting topic up about it. I eventually learned to copy my posts to the clipboard before submitting them, because there is always a good chance the system will eat them instead of posting them.
