So I'm the guy what did the 8 bit version of Life is Beautiful (which, by the way, SWERY made his ringtone, according to his Twitter). I also did 8 bit versions of the Wii Shop channel and J-E-N-O-V-A. Those were made with a program called Famitracker, which is tons of fun (if you can learn how to use it). Well, I recently got a new toy called Madtracker, which works (almost) the same way, yet allows you to make more realistic sounding music. It also supports VST plugins. All of these programs are free, by the way, so I recommend you check them out.
Anyways, I'm still trying to learn how to use the infinitely more complex Madtracker. And I figure, since I made 8 bit versions of non-8 bit songs, I should try to learn Madtracker by making realistic versions of 8 bit songs.
So yeah. Recommend me some 8 bit songs. Please, nothing that's been done to death (that means no Wily's Castle or Bloody Tears).
