I've played many games, including many cheap ones based on films, and almost none of them have been worth paying for.Terminator Salvation Disgusted me,and the few games based on the Matrix have never been great.Does anyone have any partially good ideas of games based on film? The only one I enjoyed was King Kong, which was still sub-par in most of my standards.
Any "Good/Fine/Average" Games that are directly based on Film?
I would classify Spider-Man 2 as great. X-Men Origins: Wolverine was at least fine. I had fun with it.

The Return of the King and The Two Towers.
Yes, those games are awesome!

Spider-Man 2 is the only good movie game ever made. Fact.
The above makes you look like a fool. Fact.
Seriously though, the LOTR games are really good.
The Lotr movie games were not too bad, I replayed the last one awhile back with a friend, great fun.
Beyond that...ehm...not really.

I'm gonna have to go with Spider-man 2. Also The Return of the King and The Two Towers.
Oh, yeah. I had a bunch of fun with Return of the King and The Two Towers. Great co-op games.
Escape From Butcher Bay and Golden Eye 007 are really the only answers. Although, one could say Kung-Fu Panda.
Butcher can't count, because it's not directly based on a film. If we were to count Butcher Bay, we'd have to count all of the Star Wars games as well, which I don't think is the OP's point in this thread. For a game that is great and directly centered around the events of a film I would agree with Spider-Man 2.
Counting the old ones, many of the Star Wars games were good: Super Star Wars, Super Empire Strikes Back, Super Return of the Jedi, and Star Wars for the Nes also. The Mask game was also neat, for the Snes. I also liked Street Fighter: The Movie vide ogame, and think it was not as bad as it was credited for. The Stargate game was also good for the Snes, as it was Batman Forever.
would the ghostbusters game count (the one released on ps3 and 360 not the nes game ) i rather enjoyed that
Directly based on a movie? Spiderman 2, LotR, King Kong, Golden Eye 007, Batman for the NES, there was some Alladin game that I remember being fun that I played on the PC when I was in like 4th grade...., I also remember some SNES StarWars games being fun, Woverine Origins was competent.
There are a ton of good tie in games though like Butchey Bay, a litany of Star Wars games, AVP2, more LotR games, and some old PC adventure games that were cool, plus many others.
ghostbusters for the sega master system is the bomb. Not exactly a long story driven type game, but the mechanics of it are amazing for the time it was made.
This. The warriors was a great Rockstar game which really respected the source material. It also has splitscreen if you want to play with friends. The Warriors was awesome.
Also try
1. Spiderman 2 for the swinging mechanics. The story and combat are bad but the swinging and acrobatics are great.
2. Xmen origins wolverine. It's a decent hack and slash game with some bloody combat.
The Warriors, Spider-Man 2, The Two Towers, The Return of the King, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and the Batman NES game.

I don't know if its the one you mean but the Mega Drive (Genesis) Aladdin is fucking amazing, as is the Lion King game. Can't believe I didn't think of those from the start. Alien 3 was also awesome.
Every Super Star Wars game, Spider-Man 2, and I remember loving The Lion King, Toy Story, and Pinocchio as a kid. Also, The Two Towers/Return of the King, and The Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets for PS1. Chamber of Secrets is a completely different game from the PS2/GC/Xbox versions, but, amazingly, the PS1 game is just way, way better, even if it was gross-looking.
