anyone else think the name "geometry wars" drives ppl away from..

trying out the game(s)? everyone i know whos heard of the game thinks its some nerdy math game and laughs when they see it in my gamertag...

also an unrelated question, whats your high score? mines 260k. ive heard that in japan most people can get a 1 million easy. O_o

The original game or the second one? My HS on the first one is like 600k or something, was never really good at it.

Yeah, when I play Gears and I say i'm gonna go play Geometry Wars 2 they say "wow wtf is that a math game? I did geometry in (insert grade) i dont wanna do it again"

I suppose since I first heard about the game while gameplay was being shown, I never thought about the title too much... But if I had never seen gameplay, I know I would have stayed clear from learning about Geometry Wars thinking it was about math... I hate math... So yes, I think it is misleading and is driving some people away.

Not exactly a selling names for students who hate geometry.

I hate geometry. But this game is good.

I used to hate math. But I really like geometry and trigonometry, weird.

game looks fun, never played it though.

I like the name, it's a nice break from the cliched and un-imaginative titles that most games get nowadays.
