Whoa, this is some short notice.
Blaster Master: Overdrive, a remake of the original NES game Blaster Master, will be available on WiiWare starting tomorrow. I wonder if the old boss-killing pause trick still works.
Here's a trailer:
Blaster Master: Overdrive - Available tomorrow!
" Yea I saw it on some other forums. Don't know how I feel about a game that doesn't get the typical high profile treatment and suddenly shows up on Wiiware. Blaster Master deserves a LOT more IMO. "Given the resources of the company behind it, this low-profile approach shouldn't be too surprising. Sunsoft is just now making a comeback in the U.S. with this game. I doubt that they'd have the budget to mount a significant ad campaign.
That's some shitty-ass sounding music right there, but I still can't wait to play this. I guess it's too much to hope for that Naoki Kodaka is anywhere near this project.

" @Eirikr said:Gaijinworks is playing a role in Sunsoft's western revival." Bring it on Victor Ireland, show me the best fart jokes and hackneyed pop culture references you got! "Am I missing a reference? What does this have to do with Gaijinworks/Working Designs? "

Something looks cheap about the game too... I've never played the original game so I'm probably saving my money.
Thirding the shitty music.
Does anyone know if this remake follows the epic story of the NES version of Blaster Master, which warned of the evils of leaving radioactive waste in your backyard and was celebrated by frog lovers everywhere? I mean, it was established as canon in Blaster Master: Blasting Again.
