Braid Does really well in first week sales !!!!

Not only is it the TOP arcade game (which is normal) knocking off Geometry Wars2 BUT it also managed to break the Overall top 10, breaking in at number 9. wow.

and Halo3 shits on cod4 for 5 weeks in a row now. Thats what happens when you talk shit infinity ward.

Blow has said on his blog that the $15 price point was a good idea because now he can afford to make the next game.  Color me excited.

I'm sure Microsoft took a large penny out of Braid's sales.

I just hope he can work something out with Microsoft so his next game appears on XBLA.

I'm a bit concerned sales might take a nosedive at the $15 pricepoint. The whole idea was to make sure the enthusiasts and gamesite trolls and such paid an extra 5 bucks for it, because those were the only people Blow thought would definitely buy the game and it had cost him so much to make.

But now with the holiday season coming up, it might get swept under the rug. I mean, Braid isn't really the sort of game that's going to be at the top of the XBLA charts forever. Like it or not, the top 10 is always going to be the 3-4 newest releases, classics (DOOM, probably MM9) and games with replay or social value (the rest of that list).

I dunno, the best XBLA games, stuff like Rez, Ikaruga, and N+ stayed in the top 10 for weeks, sometimes months.
