This one's a bit odd, but I loved, loved, loved, loved, LOVED the artistic style of the first two NBA Street games; they basically made a cartoonish, almost graffiti/1980s hip hop inspired basketball game. Then NBA Street Vol 3 came along and tried to make the characters (including the NBA stars) more realistic. And it absolutely broke my heart. With that graffiti style, the game stood out amongst the pack. Now it's basically a more arcadey version of the Live series. Never looked back after Vol 3, and while I know people who swear by the 3rd and 4th games, I'm not one of them.

You know, I think I like the middle one best. I agree that the armour on the third one is unnecessary, but the original one's hair just screams "troll doll" too much for me to take him at all seriously. Also, what's up with the toeless boots? I never noticed that before.

Armor on the third is DEFIANTLY un-needed it just screams -"imma badass lookie lookie!"- but the third as far as just the looks wise was my face, the hair for two made me wince, accept for when he did that whole dark Jak thing, then it looked pretty nice.
While I may like the third the whole change was and did make me sad. I liked the look of the first, to bad they couldn't keep the charm. XP.
