Someone who knows nothing about video games says to you 'What game are you playing' I HATE IT.
I was playing Fable 2 one night and a parents friend asks me what im playing so i tell him 'Just an adventure game' and he goes 'Whats it called' and im all like 'Fable 2' then he was all like 'o.O WTF?'
Don't you just hate it when people tell you everything that's gonna happen in a game/film/book before you've gone through it.....personally, i dislike it (alot if i'm truly interested in something). but what ticks me off is for example....when you're WATCHING the film in question and they go 'watch this' 'this is ***********(plot point) and it's like...if you found out by watching yourself....i'm...i'm sure i can do it myself.
A few years back, some cops came to my house (don't ask). As one of them was walking by my computer. He said "Hey, what are you playing?" I absent mindedly replied Age of Empires 3. He then looked towards the den where my brother was playing Need for Speed something. He then said, "Your brother is pretty good at Need for Speed." I was sort of surprised that he recognized the game.
I don't mind that, but one thing I do mind is when people try to tell me how to play my games. My current roommate isn't much of a gamer, but occasionally he'll watch me playing a game, say, Halo 3, and the whole match he would be making comments about how I should "SHOOT HIM! NO, LEFT! YOU IDIOT! I TOLD YOU LEFT!!" and it really pisses me off.
I hate it when people who don't play games really are like "what are you playing?" Then I tell them and they immediately ask "Can I try?" ... no, no you can not :/.
Actually, yes it does annoy me a bit. If someone asks me what game I'm playing, and I know they won't remember the name more than a few minutes and don't really know or care about games in the first place, it's annoying.
A little bit because I can just tell that they can't care less no matter what I said. It's like asking a dog how it felt. Still I don't mind it too much though.
