I don't agree with what the man is doing or how he handles things anymore than you do. And it's okay to hate what he is doing to Activision, as well as gaming in general, but you (probably) don't know him personally, so don't judge him. Just like how you don't know celebrities personally (more likely than not).
I just wanna point out I can judge him how I damn well like. The man is a businessman in a video games industry - he doesn't see it the way people who care about video games do. What he sees is $$$. Anything he says or does is to increase the money he earns - not better the video games industry - because that's how business works. Therefore, he is damaging the video games industry. And that makes him a bad person.
I met Bobby Kotick once. He drugged me and shipped me to a tropical island to hunt me for sport. Terrible man but ironically if it wasn't for the survival training I learned through Pitfall I would of never have escaped.
@Chavtheworld: To play devil's advocate, all the things he says or does are to increase the company's profits. Which, in turn, helps to employ thousands of people who make the games we all play. And by making games the games that appeal to such a large market and break so many records, he's pumping money back into the video game industry and helping it grow bigger than it has ever been before. Which isn't such a bad thing, after all.
@HarlequinRiot: That is a point. If only it wasn't just fuelling the idea that rehashing the same game every year will sell lots, and make you loads of money... That'll just lead to the death of new ideas and stop people taking risks on new IP's.
