How many of you gotta have your tea everyday? I drink black in the morning, plain green gunpowder at work, more black after dinner and green gunpowder mixed with mint at night. I never drink anything very expensive.
Hardcore Tea-Drinkers Among Us?
I drink loads of tea. Usually English Breakfast, although sometimes when the mood takes me I'll have a cup of Earl Grey (much to my friends' disapproval). Speaking of which, I usually have it in the boorish, uncultured manner by adding milk. On the weekend, however, we'd run out of milk and so I thought I'd have my first crack at drinking it the way you're supposed to, with a slice of lemon. Not too bad at all, although it kinda negates the Earl Greyness of it.
Apart from that, my partner is an Asian lass so I also drink a fair amount of Chinese tea, be it because we're at restaurants or because we've got a bunch of it in the house. I do enjoy sitting on the couch watching telly with a tiny teapot next to me, pouring little cups of it. Bliss.
I drink a fuckload of caffeine free Green Tea, all paid for at work. Basically,
I get my cup by choosing the Espresso feature on the Coffee Machine but use
greentea so it fills 1/3rd of the cup. Then I take a few sips while I work. After
about 15 minutes it gets cold, so I throw it out & go get me another cup.
@blacklabeldomm said:Well then this just got interesting.r u british?Nope. I'm from Kentucky, and a fairly rural section of it at that.
I wouldn't say hardcore drinker but more of a traditional thing (not British), I drink Tea after almost every meal. From black to green, it doesn't really matter.
Tea isn't the most popular thing amongst North Americans is it?
Always be making tea. If you make it in a cup I stab you in the leg. If you put in sugar then it's called "Baby's Tea" and it's not really tea any more, just a tea flavoured drink. I live half of my time in London and the water is different and tea tastes bad unless you buy Co-op Fairtrade leaf tea. Glad it only took me forever to find out. I've got my little teapot in front of me now with a springy tea ball in it that you can play Pac-man with. I use bags, Pg Tipps, but just happen to have a lot of leaf tea. Tetley tea is too 'round' and lacks the bitterness of Pg Tipps, same with Twinings Everyday which also has a tinge of perfume I don't like.
It's weird, most people think my tastesbuds are crapped out with all the chilli sauce I eat. I'm nowhere near as delicate about anything else apart from red sauce (tomato ketchup) and I use different brands for different foods because they all differ in acidity and sugaryness (blech!). Hazlewoods was the best but they stopped making it. It was like citric acid with a bit of tomato puree thrown in.
That is all.
