First off, lulz.

Secondly, so I am playing Assassin's Creed: Revelations, getting Ishak Pasha's armor.. and man.. the hidden tomb you climb in to get the armor is crazy... You climb up so high.. I definitely reached the point where I was uncomfortably high.

Any games have moments that give you that feeling? I would think SotC or GoW games would have those moments.. Just none I can think of off hand.

I watched some footage of Azura's Wrath and felt some serious vertigo. And I imagine Bioshock Infinite will manage to push my vertigo to breaking point. Oh, not that kind of high? Well sirs, I don't know what to say!

Some of the later Tomb Raider games (not the XBLA/PSN one) & Damnation has some pretty good vertical height to the environments & most of the time letting you climb all over the place. Another good one is Just Cause2.

PPl. knew what you mean't..I wanted to mess w/it also...But interestingly I do get vertigo or rather a mild fear of heights. Score 1 for video-games.

Even though I'm not easily susceptible to getting sensations of vertigo if it isn't in real time, the Assassin's Creed games come damn close in mirroring it. I would imagine the next Bioshock game to really do something innovative with it, as well, as now it's a matter of motions looping back and forth, up and down, through cityscapes. Man, I can't wait for that game.

Fear of heights is acrophobia. Vertigo is a spinning sensation or loss of balance. It would be hilarious to fall over in real life from being too high in a game though. Makes me feel queezy.

Literally any game with hight places. Jump off the tower in Fallout 3, from a plane at the top level of the map in Saints Row the Third... hell, the worst of it was always when I'd randomly fall through the floor of the world in Morrowind, look up, and see everything from outside of the level. Makes me want to throw up.

It's usually the falling that unsettles me. I always feel a bit of anxiety as I'm falling from a great height in a game.

it depends on what the fall damage is like. if i'm high enough where i'll definitely die if i fall then definitely i feel uneasy. dark souls is a prime example of this.

Zeno Clash did a damn good job making you feel you were on an acid trip. Sadly the game itself wasn't very good.

Super Mario 3D land probably has the best example of feeling like you're dropping from a really high height in the overhead levels... With the 3D effect on of course.

I don't do too well with heights, so when I reach that point in just about any game (Infamous, Assassin's Creed, Mirror's Edge, etc) it starts to turn into vertigo. Besides that. adrenaline rushes from fast pace games tend to give me an alert feeling other games don't. This has happened to me a lot lately while playing Battlefield 3.

Yes. I hate multiplayer maps or FPS levels that are at great heights. I also hate them in games like Uncharted and the PS3 game that was like Prototype that my head is too filled with cold meds right now to recall. There was more than one area of it where you had to climb ridiculous heights and do some platforming and it made me really angry. Sometimes it frustrates me to the point that I will seriously consider quitting. Not all the time, but in some instances.

I never had a problem with heights in video games, or even feeling nauseous because of too much movement or whatever. But I could see why a lot of people would.

I actually really like it when games go crazy with verticality. I love jumping out of airplanes in Saint's Row or jumping of buildings in Assassin's Creed. I remember one mission in Brotherhood where you had to climb the inside of a dome of some church as being pretty impressive in how it made it feel dangerous.

In terms of height, I'd any open world game with flight and fall damage, anything from Minecraft to GTA really.

Uncharted and PoP don't do it to me, because the game is designed for me to travel safely over those gaps.

Mirrors edge when your falling through the air but mod wise, it has to be San Andreas Multiplayer where I go about 3 to 4 times higher then you can in the base game and just fall for 5 minutes.

I am deathly afraid of heights, but in game I don't think it's ever bothered me. Well, maybe in something like Demon Souls, but that's just because I knew I could die with one false step. I don't get the feeling of vertigo or nausea that you do in real life.

Man I hate heights in real life, in video games I don't I've ever felt the fear of heights, though the little feeling you get in the stomach from heights I've gotten tons of times when doing a jump in a video game or almost ran over an edge.

I'd think Assassin's Creed and Mirror's Edge do that... There also was some other game that was way more effective at that for me, can't remember what game though, just that it wasn't a game you'll think do that...
