Holy Crap Too Many Games

Dude. I seriously cannot beleive how many games are coming out at once that i want to play.

Right now im trying to decide between zelda and skyrim and its really hard to choose.

Of course uncharted, saints row, mw3 are also all calling my name. Thats when i stop collecting stuff in Batman, am not playing a league game in NHL, and not spending time with my wife in dungeon defenders.

Goodness.

What are you guys debating between right now?

I'm going to wait till all those games drop in price.

I'm on my way to go pick up Uncharted now. I probably won't buy anything else until Ubisoft Day (or, at least, Ubisoft Day 2011, when Assassin's Creed: Rev, Rayman: Origins, and Saints Row The Third all come out.)

Make a list of those games you'd like to play, and get those games one after another. It's not mandatory to buy everything on day one, bro.

I'm going through that, too. Just so many games to blast through, and holiday season hasn't even arrived in full swing, yet.

currently playing deus ex while trying to find time to take the wrapper off BF3...this is just the beginning. Man up and dedicate Q4 to your couch.

Surely I can beat Skryim, Skyward Sword, Saint's Row, Jurassic Park, Assassin's Creed, and Rayman Origins in that time period

1. Finish L.A. Noire (done!)
2. Finish Rage
3. Get Batman: AC
4. Finish Dead Space 1 & 2 (got on steam together for $13)
5. Play more Civ5
6. Play more GoW 3
7. Finish Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (the disc is damaged and the game won't load past a conversation with Machiavelli)
8. Finish Fable III (ugh, it's not so good so far)
9. Get Battlefield 3 (maybe)
10. Get Skyrim
11. Get Assassin's Creed: Revelations
12. Get Uncharted
13. Get MW3 (maybe)

All games that I will be playing. good thing I'm off for a month from late December to late January. So I'll have time to catch up.

I have so many games I can't even play them all... yet at the same time while some trade ins are worth something I can't decide if I should get BF3 PC or Uncharted 3.... too many games!

Beat Arkham City, GOW3 I'll keep playing, Dark Souls I've beaten twice, working on Deus Ex and huge back catalogue.

I know dude, but I get in some kind of weird place where I basically forget about a game that I wanted to play about a month or so after it comes out. I think it has to do with always hearing about the newest stuff and having a lust for the latest and greatest. That said, you're also subjected to more chances for spoilers and stuff the longer you wait.

But you're right, I will be waiting for some of these games. Just have to decide which ones to play first.

Also, this is more personal, but I have a baby coming in March. My first, so I'm kind of expecting the worst as far as how much free time I'll have to play the games I want.

I'm in kind of a weird phase right now. This is going to sound way too fucking hipstery, but I'm really getting into a lot of indie games, and it's dampening my interest in many of the big mainstream ones.

My list of AAA titles for 2011 started with Gears of War 3...

Gears of War 3... Done

Batman: Arkham City... Done

Battlefield 3... Done but will play more MP

Uncharted 3 - Nov 1... installing as we speak

LOTR: War In The North Nov 2... will beat after Uncharted 3

COD MW3... don't really care for the MP and the SP can easily wait

TES 5: Skyrim Nov 11... I've got 10 days to get Uncharted 3 and War in the North done lol

Saints Row III Nov 15... Another one that can wait a little while

The only games I feel like I'll be putting a lot additional time into is BF 3 and Skyrim, so far it seem s all easily doable within that time frame.

edit: did rage even equate to a AAA title lol, another one that can wait....

Zelda and Skyrim are top priority for me (and Skyrim only because I'm getting it cheap on release). Everything else can wait until next year.. the rest of my money will be going towards the Christmas sales.

Arkham City lost my purchase because of the ludicrous amount of pre-order bonuses and on disc DLC. You guys can pay for your unlock keys, I'll wait for the GoTY version.

Beat Arkham City, side missions and everything. Waiting on Uncharted to be delivered. I wanted Battlefield, but I'll probably wait. I think I'd prefer to get Zelda for Xmas. I just can't decide between Saints Row and Skyrim.

Pretty much only Skyrim for me. The others can wait.

Congrats on the newborn, but see it that way; in the middle of the night, while you'll be waiting for your baby to burst in cries for whatever a newborn needs, you'll be able to play some games. AIN'T THAT AWESOME?

I don't "debate" between buying any game. I'm 31 so I simply buy whatever I want.

Totally agree though I don't know why. That game, I have no problem waiting for. Probably because my most go-to multiplayer friend got a job off-shore, so multiplayer co-op just isn't as inviting as it once was.

Gah, I didn't realize I'm starting to use this as an outlet for my woes/life changes as an aging video game player. Loss of friends, gaining of children, and finding how video games still fit into the equation. Thanks for listening.

I guess I feel like since video games aren't really just a kid thing and haven't been for a long time, I feel like developers don't have to go for the holiday push quite so hard anymore. It would be nice to have some of these games stretched across the incoming video game desert months. In fact, it would mean more money for developers since I wouldn't be waiting to buy games, and these same games wouldn't go on sale before I get a chance to plunk down my cash.

On the whole, I'm pretty lucky, and too many video games coming out is not really a bad problem to have.

honestly, im not going to buy any games i dont' think. i am right now working on my pile of games that i never got to beat. right now i'm playing uncharted 2, gt5, forza 4. forza 4 was the newest game that i got.
 
i also plan on getting ico and shadow of the colleses collection since it's a cheap game.

Need to beat Gears 3, Rage and finish the 10 main seasons of Forza world tour.

But of course I'm just playing BF and Uncharted 3 now. Things move quickly.

Not as bad as I thought honesty.

I have a gigantic backlog of games, on top of all the ones that have come out/are coming out this Fall/Holiday season (Deus Ex: HR, Rage, and Skyrim, to name a few that I definitely want to play). Right now I have next to zero time to play games. This Christmas break I'm finally going to be able to dive in, though; I'm think I going to start with Rage. Then Skyrim. Then maybe some games I already own/have paid for, that have been untouched (some of them for years)...

There are so many good games left this year, plus the Vita and a few more games early next year.
 
So sad :(

You could just not buy every game that comes out. Those games will be there in 2012.

MGS and Skyrim is enough for me. I'll play the other game when they're on sale.
