Um I think you guys accidently got lost. This is Giantbomb. First World Problems is http://www.reddit.com/r/firstworldproblems/
How the hell am I suppose to afford all of these games?
If you really want to get the games near release, try using eBay... I just bought L.A. Noire two weeks ago and it saved me $17... Tax in my county is 10% so buying a new game in stores at $60 come out to be $67. That's too much for me, so I went to eBay and still got the game sealed.
Got the same feeling, there's so many good games coming out in the months to come and i'd be gutted if i couldnt get all of them. But it's so expensive!
I save up gift cards over the year. I usually get most of the new games I want at a great price.
- I get Amazon gift cards for spending money on Amazon.
- I get Best Buy gift cards for using my bank check card as Visa transactions
- I buy games I really want on Amazon that offer money off of future purchases, then turn around and apply them to games I really want. Because I purchased L.A. Noire, I'm getting Arkham City for $37.
- I get gift cards for my birthday, father's day (though my children are three cats), and Christmas. I save them for the end of the year.
This year is going to be challenging, however. Batman, Skyrim, Uncharted, Zelda, God of War Origins, Ico/Shadow of the Colossus Collection, Metal Gear Solid Collection, Zone of Enders Collection. Geez. I know for sure I'll be getting the first four games in that list, but I'd like to get them all at launch. I guess I can wait for the collections.
