@grissefar: Oh, I mistook you for a reasonable person. That one's on me.
I am terrified (GOTY)

Ha ! Ha !
@bisonhero: I happen to find Uncharted 2, Mass Effect 2 and Skyrim much less interesting than GTA, Bioshock, or Last of Us. The last 2 years have been really boring for me. This one however, was great. But again... GOTY discussions are purely subjective.
Glad to know Last of Us won't be getting the crown. Doesn't deserve it. Give it to Bioshock or GTA, although FFXIV is the true GOTY.
@klei Well I did explain my thought process pretty good. I suppose I neglected to say what it was I liked about Fire Emblem, which was mostly the depth of the battle system and character leveling. It was insanely addictive and as soon as I beat it once I started again on Hard to build an even better team with what I learned the first time. I also found the character interactions and dialogue surprisingly funny and lacking in cringe worthy moments compared to most JRPGs.
Batman may not be rehashed as often as the others, but so far I've only been willing to rent the games in that series, and never buy them. This is coming from someone who reads Batman comics and even owns the deluxe hardcover of The Killing Joke. I even listen to Kevin Smith's fuckin Batman podcast haha

Well, the important part is you've learned to not make that mistake again.
Why are there five pages worth of comments on this stupid fucking post?
This. Seriously.
Wait, you misspelled "Rayman Legends." There's not even a "t" anywhere in that title, though I guess it is, technically speaking, the fifth main game in the series.
I don't think I've played a single one of the games that are getting tossed around as game of the year contenders. And the fucked up thing is I have 'em; I own copies of these games. It's already October and I haven't even started any of them.
I'm still mad about Slumdog Millionaire winning an oscar. It was a fucking mediocre movie. I can't say any other movies were better because I didn't watch them all, but that's not a movie that should be Best Picture.
They're not going to pick Fire Emblem Awakening, so we already know they're going to pick the wrong game.
Yeah, it's a damn shame that Fire Emblem probably won't even be in the discussion.
I really dont get why people think that was a good game. It really doesnt do much of anything well. Story, characters were not interesting in the least. Combat was par for what a turn base game should be. Hero classes were a pretty worthless upgrade. It was more to stretch the leveling system. And to top it off every weapon is a breakable item! That was about the worst thing you can do in any game, let alone a RPG were items are supposed to mean something. Game was a 6-7 imo.
