That's probably not an accurate assessment of Vinny's role on the site..but these times when Jeff and some of the other guys aren't around Vinny just seems like he has a great time just doing whatever... This is always the best time of the year.
I love it when Vinny is left unsupervised...

New Premium feature - Vinny fucks shit up in open-world games, especially Sleeping Dogs.
You can add searching the internet for mods too.
The only person I know who can make a game about driving an 18-wheeler in Europe seems like amazingly fun time!
I think Vinny is the one guy on staff who doesn't really analyze games and I think that's what people like about him.
Patrick seems to play games almost exclusively to pick apart their "systems" and then decide whether he approves or not.
Jeff seems like he plays to be impressed. He's not going to, necessarily, judge a game unfairly, but he's also not going to really try to like it either. This seems fair in so much as he's frequently resistant to trends, but it can also be unfair when a game that has a ton of non-obvious merit doesn't immediately impress him.
I don't know about Ryan and Brad.

That seems accurate

I think Vinny can be a little to forgiving of certain games..but in general he just seems like a fun dude that loves what he's doing..and that excitement translates into everything he does for the site. Dave also..Dave's always fun.
@The_Ruiner: Just like anyone else, Vinny needs boundaries. If only so that there is a fun difference when those boundaries are temporarily removed.
For example, Vinny often indicates that he plays games rather obsessively when playing them on his own, and so, Quick Looks are like pressure release valves for him.
@Azteck: giantvinny.com, which used to redirect to somewhere (here, I think), has recently expired. I am sad.

Brad only plays games for their framerates.

Today's livestream is probably my favorite one yet. When everything goes wrong, that's when the magic happens.
I could not agree with the OP more. Vinny is my favorite staff member simply because he seems like a good human being. He plays video games to have fun and doesn't get bogged down trying to point out every flaw he finds. Instead, he takes hold of what he loves to do and just enjoys it. That's such a refreshing attitude in the "it's cool to be cynical" hipster age we're living in.
@JazGalaxy: Hadn't really thought about that, but I think you're right. Patrick always says he says it's unfair to break a game into categories, then giving those categories individual scores, like GT and Gamespot does. It's a paradox that he always breaks down games to their core systems, and barely ever talk about games in terms of the sum of it's parts.

Giantvinny used to redirect to the saints row the third website. giantasshole.com however, still exists.

Oh my god. I can't wait to watch this stream. It won't be the same without the chat... but yeah, Vinny's quicklooks are definitely... You know what, I'll fuckin' say it. Vinny's quicklooks are epic. I laughed so god damn hard when his Sleeping Dogs DLC was bugged, so while Steam was repairing it he brought up an emulated Law of the West just to shoot that lady...

if he did that he wouldn't have liked BD so much.
I think the great thing is without anyone else around its really easy for Vinny to drag Brad down to his level of madness, the Neverdead QL being a case in point.
This week has been a huge breath of fresh air.
I didn't get to catch the live stream so I watched the quick-look on the site here when it went up a few hours ago and I might have laughed so hard I woke everyone else up in the house.... oops. That first time he went around the corner and tipped the truck over I absolutely lost it.
Vinny's taste in games most lines up with my own, so does his comedy. He's a bro among bros, adding brofisting vinny to my bucket list.
I will never stop posting this gif.
There are still 51 weeks in this year, but it's going to be really fucking hard to top this week. It's been pure joy since Wednesday.

It redirects to Vinny's profile here. Anybody know the Bombcast episode where this joke started?
