Jeff on the new IGN show

Really exciting to see Jeff on IGN of all places, just after he switched to Gamespot. I guess all the sites are more open towards eachother these days, with new shows such as the IGN meta review show, where Giant Bomb has been mentioned before.

Nice. I think Jeff has said in the past, most staff from different sites are actually very cool with each other, it's just the communities that tend to go to war.

1 minute in and I already disgusted. This is not funny, I hope Jeff makes a difference.

I'm actually really surprised at how much I enjoyed this. Greg could use some work on his timing, but Altano is hilarious and his writing shines here. How long have they been doing this feature? I need to check this out

The "jokes" make me cringe.

It's like a fucking high school project.

What an awkward show. Its like watching one of those late night talk show monologues when the jokes dont get any laughs and the host gets visually nervous.

This is like a poor video game version of the Daily Show.

I like Greg Miller I really do. But this makes me cringe.

I've seen that show before and it's pretty horrible. Mostly because that guy is like a weird mix of a baby and an awkward adult.

Wow people really dislike this show. I thought it was alright, frankly. I mean it wasn't TV quality produciton, and some of the jokes were a bit lame, but when has that really not been the case on the internet? The interview with Jeff was pretty good, and they didn't get his name wrong, which is always a bonus.

I don't really Greg all that much. Sure the production seems fine, but there's just something about him that really rubs me the wrong way. Maybe it's his awkward timing or the overbearing "Laugh with me because that was so funny!" laugh, every time he makes a joke. Surely, this is only because the 'show' is in it's infancy but I think I can wait til they figure it out a little bit more before I pay any real attention to it.

I was honestly going into watching that with an open mind. I like Greg Miller and as far as podcasts go, I think IGN does a decent job. But that was pretty painful to watch. Not a fan. You can't force jokes and putting forced laughter in the background only makes it more uncomfortable.

Eugh, that was atrocious.

Someone please pin point the exact time the Jeff interview starts, I don't wanna watch the whole vid with that guy failing to do a good joke.

Greg is one of my favorite podcasters and personalities along with Jeff. Yeah, the show is kinda cheesy, but the interviews are great. Looking forward to the full interview later.

Sure, it was cringe inducing at times. But over all I thought the show was OK. Some of the jokes were (a lot) better than others and most failed on execution.

But hats off for the effort. Producing a show with just video game material must be tough.

The interview was the highlight of the show. Really felt like Jeff's personality helped the show ease into a more comfortable state.

I thought the suit thing was kinda funny and the ending with jeff was great.

I was disappointed with the lack of Greg caressing Jeff's leg.

nothing against IGN per se, but I had to turn it off after about 1 min. fake newscast announcer thing the guy has going for it and the audiance "laughter" makes it cringe worthy to watch. Its not bad because its IGN, its just bad

He actually made one good joke on the interview last week with Gary. He was summarising all the things on the show and said "all this! And my Dad still isn't proud of me!"

Unfortunately as I said... only the one good joke. Well I laughed when Gary had a go at him for touching his leg but that was more like the joke was on him.

so we cant hate something that is shit just because we should be above being like the internet... gotcha

I love IGN as an editorial staff, but as a website it became increasingly hard to use with each redesign.

@Rhaknar: You can do whatever the fuck you want. I'm just speaking to people that come on here and hate anything IGN related or any other gaming site. It's not perfect or even that good sure, but still the interview was okay. If you didn't like it than fine. Still, no need to act like a dick about it. Guess I'm expecting too much from people.

Not bad, I've seen it before and I enjoyed it for what it was.

First time I watched the show to the end (skipped through most of the cheesy jokes) and interview was pretty solid though too short. I didn't know they posted full interview separately later, maybe I'll continue to follow those.

Hating IGN doesn't help anyone here, it just makes you all look like fools.

Interviews are the best part of the show, I loved the one with Gary Whitta. But like others i'm not a fan of the constant bombardment of jokes; but didn't find it cringe worthy.

One thing though: how can Jeff be a guest AND part of the audience? Did they actually clone him? is that where the CBSi money went? not hiring new people but cloning the ones they have? GENIUS I must say.

This show is fucking terrible. The "please give it up" and "make some noise" every minute was so stupid. Jesus christ this is terrible.

The actual interviews are ok, depends alot on the guest obviously.

IGN & Giantbomb are my two favorite gaming sites. So it's pretty awesome to see Jeff on there. Also, Beyond!

The part with Jeff on it was alright. Can't handle the rest of it. I felt the same way when Gary Whitta was on the show.

I don't think I like Brian Altano. He seemed like an okay guy, but he is always forcing humor, and most of it is a miss.

It was alright.

The episode with Jenova Chen (around the time Journey released) was really awkward. Jeff gave a great interview though.

I think what IGN is trying to do with their Start channel is great.

IGN has seemed to have this revolving door mentality where editors would either get laid off or leave right when readers were beginning to get to know them and with these new shows, they are able to give their site a bit more personality (other than what you can get from the podcasts).
