Tactics Ogre is the spiritual prequel to FFT in that a lot of the same dudes designed both games.
Also, $51 is cheap for Tactics Ogre. It was cheap because it didn't come with instructions and has a tiny scratch. A mint condition copy can go for about $100.
wish I had bought more PS1 games while they were still widely available though now I have a list of RPGs from the PS1 I wish I could play/replay since when I was young I didn't see the point of keeping finished games and always sold em off
I'm pretty sure it was Bushido Blade. I loved that game. Used to rent it all the time. Saw it for only a couple of bucks at a garage sale, I think. And I got it. Two weeks later I lost it during a move, which still makes me pretty angry. I'd like to play it again.
