List Your "Must-Have" Games of Current-Gen Consoles!

So, I’ve seen a number of threads around wherein forum users are making the jump from one gaming platform to the next, and, being a fan of multiplatform-ism myself (it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside when someone finally gets past console bias), I figured: why not make it easier?

Below I plan to compile a list of must-haves for each console. I plan on keeping each list short, so inevitably some great games will fall by the wayside; but then, the point of this isn’t to list every single game that you should ever buy for your [insert console name here]; it’s to list the games that you should buy first. So gamers, I invite you to post those games which you consider to be “must-haves” for any given console below (first-hand experience is a plus!). I’ll try and put as many as I can in the “must-haves” list whilst keeping it from becoming a massive wall of text. I suppose I’ll start us off:

I'm only going to post one per console because i'm lazy like that:

Wii: SSBB
360: Dead Rising
PS3: Heavenly Sword

PS3: Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.
360: Assassins Creed.
Wii: Super Mario Galaxy.

Orange Box, Fallout 3, Bioshock, RE5, and I'm not sure how you left GTA4 off of that list.

I feel like my 'essential' games list is different than my 'quality' games list.  My 'essential' games list is filled with more titles that did something new, or better than any game had done it before.  I think it would be different to a newbie to gaming, because while something like COD4 is certainly the best in the series so far, it doesn't really do a lot I hadn't seen and played before, only slightly worse.  The standout games to me truly innovative or exceptionally better for their particular genre.

Anyways, there's a lot of games this generation that meant more to me than they would to most people.  I could make a 'safe' games list, but my heart wouldn't be in it.

I enjoy most bottom end bargain bin tanked in sales games than I do high budget gangbusters blockbuster games.

GTA4 for the 360 due to the DLC, maybe LittleBigPlanet for the PS3, and I don't know for the Wii.

Fallout 3, Fable 2, and Tales of Vesperia.

Xbox 360: COD 4 & Gears 2
PS3: MGS4 & inFAMOUS
Wii: Excitebots & Mario Galaxy

Fallout 3, Fable 2 (Simple but so much fun), MGS4, COD4, Crysis, and the Orange Box.

Hey folks, the list has been updated and the PC platform (woefully forgotten by myself) has been added! Also, I'm thinking of capping off each platform's category at 30 games (I know, such a small number, but otherwise we could be at this forever). On a side note, please refrain from posting DS games as this fella' has already taken care of that platform over here, and I wouldn't want to intrude on the man's turf (he seems to have vast and infinite knowledge of the platform anyway, so any attempts to cut into the market would probably be met with a DS-saavy bitchslap).

Honestly, and this is just my honest opinion, take it for that and that alone.

Wii: Mario Galaxy, House of the Dead Overkill (I honestly didnt think I would like it as much as I did, it has so much style and is so fun to play despite some problems like framerate issues) Opoona. Some others probably, but I dont own that many Wii games.

360:
 Condemned Criminal Origins (imo a truly unique game, very few games manage to be this creepy, brutal, and well executed at the same time)
SFIV (personally, living without this game would not be a life I could consider)
Lost Odyssey (If you like JRPGs, you'll love this. If not, then don't expect to like it)
theres tons more, but im tanked right now and cant think of any not already on the list.

PC:
Plants vs Zombies, its amazing.
EVE Online (technicly not new, but the new expansion adds a lot, and the boxed re-release makes it the perfect time to join)

PS3:
Noby Noby Boy
inFAMOUS

Theres are in addition to whats up there, apart from a few I consider those to also be must-buys.

No More Heroes - Wii

Dead Space and Resident Evil 5 might be good multi-plat ones, Oblivion too if Fallout 3 is on there. I also can't believe GTA IV is not on the list.

EDIT: WarioWare: Smooth Moves would be quite good on the Wii list, for the ridiculous amount of waggle for new users of the console.

Take Crysis off the list. It's a list of games, not of benchmarks.
