Tough choice. I haven't played Drakensang, so I'm tempted to suggest it to see how you like it. It's had some positive reviews, and it looks very solid.
On the other hand, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines is a personal favorite. I'd recommend it to anyone. The combat is exciting, the character building is really well done, and the dialogue is incredibly strong. However, I would recommend that you buy a copy that allows for unofficial patching, as the unofficial patches have polished the game to near perfection, whereas the official patches stop short of fixing all the bugs in the game.
Between the two, I'd say start with Vampire. It's really a top notch game in all aspects, especially if you aren't a graphics-monger.
