MK9 blows

I wanted to love it so much, and I was really enjoying it until the game forced me to play as Liu Kang and fight against multiple characters. Liu Kang sucks. Fuck this game I dont want to replay the same fight hundreds of times over and over again. Im so glad I rented this piece of shit game instead of buying it. Im not great at fighting games, but Im not horrible either. Made it through SF4 with some frustration and thats about as much punishment as I can take from a  fighting game at default difficulty. Fuck this game.

Also I'm pretty sure you have to own a game to bitch about it so hard. Unwritten rule or something.

If only the story mode had you playing as 1 character for half a fight and then it's the end.

Yes i agree, mortal kombat sucks! I want to play as scorpion or sub-zero, but it forces me to learn to use other charachters too...oh wait.
There is a "very easy" setting, why don't you turn it to that while playing as Liu Kang?

Maybe take two fucking seconds to learn how to play with the character before whining about it. Liu Kang is a pretty awesome character.

Mortal Kombat 9 blows me away every time I play it.

The single player AI is shit, Ladder and Story.  It alternates between being dumb as shit, and being entirely too smart for it's own good. (because it's reading your controller inputs, try not pressing anything and waiting to see what happens, the AI will jump around confused and not sure what to do, you can usually quickly grab them if they land near you during this time) The tag handicap matches are especially awful though, and really have no good reason to be present in the game except to artificially increase difficulty, and thus play time.  Story mode I just dislike in general, I tend to gravitate towards a few select characters, (Stryker, Jax, Kitana) so being forced to play as lame characters like Smoke or Sub-Zero really irks me.

So I've just been taking small shots at story mode to avoid playing long enough to want to throw up.  Hopefully eventually getting me through it so I can never ever play it again.

Anyone remember when Giant Bomb wasn't full of complaint threads and the Hamburger forum was THE place to be? *siiigh* :(

The OP is right. Games that offer a challenge are shit.

Also if there's one thing I don't want in a sofa, it's coolness. I like the cushions to have a little bit of warmth with them.

Heaven forbid someone should try to do something interesting with the story in a fighting game. What I hate most about this game is that I have learned how almost all the characters work just by playing the story and using each of them. But that's not even the worst part since Warner Bros held a gun to my head and made me buy and play the game. Those fucking bastards.

OP is obviously a child or just someone who shouldn't be playing video games with a personality like that.

Liu Kang is one of the easiest characters to learn and master. The fact that you can combo out of his X-Ray alone puts him in top tier for characters in the game. His juggle combo is not difficult at all either. The single-player is so easy. If you really had so much trouble you could of simply lowered the difficulty.
If you are bad at the game it isn't the games fault its yours.
