Lets make the #Giantbomb more active . 
 
Everyone lets see if we can make Giantbomb one of the topic trends 
 
Maybe we can make it near the top so more people discover the site
 
All you have to do if you have twitter is put #Giantbomb and thats it :) 
 
You guys didn't feel the need to make the youtube more popular . But this requires even less effort .  ( BTW if you didn't know about my efforts here is the previous thread )

I think digg.com is the answer for making GB more popular

just so everyone has some basic guidelines, trending isn't the same as spamming, you need actual content if you're going to include a hashtag, and you can still trend without one and it will count (like if someone says giantbomb, it will could as a hit for #giantbomb in search). another thing to note is you can't have a locked/private account, if you do, nothing you say counts towards trends, you need to be searchable. another thing is to only use one hashtag per tweet, otherwise you might get flitered out as spam.
 
so really it would need to be a coordinated effort at a specific time, or everyone would have to tag every tweet with #giantbomb for it to really trend. this gets especially messy with new local trends, so you could be trending in new york, but not los angeles.

If we did that, this site would be full of illiterate, babbling morons.  I'd rather have a small group of moderately intelligent people than a massive group of idiots.

The tops stories on digg have about 2000 diggs . I reckon there are more than 2000 members on GB . If everyone stops being lazy then we should be able to get noticed

I spend a lot of time on Digg, and just to you know that link is considered spam and is if definitely not something that will end up on the front page. You have to have some sort of content, like a news story or an interesting concept  on Giant Bomb, not just "here go to this website".

I dunno I like this moment of peace before the Giantbomb forums become like every other popular gaming site.
 
It's inevitable, the plague of fanboys has already been starting. 
 
Anyways I think crossing streams with 1UP with the SC2 stuff probably made GB a bit more well known.  
 
And I wouldn't be surprised if Jeff or Ryan showing up on some GameTrailers stuff brings in some users as well.
